How to install actions in the free lightroom phone app

Step 1: Unzip the Files

The first thing you will need to do is unzip the folder of presets that you downloaded.

It is easiest to do this on a computer all you have to do is right-click on the zipped folder and choose "Extract All" from the menu of options.  For a Mac, just double-click the file and Mac's unzipping will do the rest for you.

If you do not have access to computer or laptop don't worry you can still download them and this is how you do it.

Download izip or unzip from your phones app store, whilst your in there locate the zipped file from your phone and open and this will unzip them

Step 2 : Saving the presets

If you have unzipped the presets on your computer or laptop, You will need to save them to your cloud storage option, This will allow you to access them on your mobile phone.

(Please ensure you have access to this cloud via your mobile phone)

If you are doing this on your mobile phone please make sure you have saved your presets on there.

Step 3: Open the Lightroom Mobile CC App

This step is really easy. Just open your free Lightroom app.

Step 4: Adding your presets

To add a preset, click on the (...) Settings option in the top-right corner of the app.

On the next screen, choose the location you will be pulling your DNG/Preset files from. If you have saved them to your phone, choose "From Camera Roll".  If you have saved them to a cloud storage option, choose "From Files".

Select the DNG/Preset files you would like to import. This step may be a little different depending on your mobile phone, however most phones offer a way to select multiple files/images.

NOTE: Preset files are called DNG files. When you initially open the image, you may get an error that says, “Cannot Load File”.  This is normal. Press the check mark in the corner anyway.

Step 5: Create Lightroom Presets from the DNG Files.

Click on one of the newly imported files, then click on the three dots inside a circle in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. From there, choose “Create Preset” from the menu that appears.

Give your preset a name. I would recommend that you keep the same preset name as i have given it.

Then put the preset in the preset group. By default, it will be in the User Presets group. Creating a new group with your new collection’s name will keep the presets from each collection together.

Do these same steps for each DNG/preset file.

Using Your Presets

This is the easy part.

Select a picture in the Lightroom Mobile App that you would like to edit. Swipe left on the bottom options until you see "Presets" and tap on that option. It will open with your most recently used preset collection. Then you just find the collection name..

Just click through the presets until you find the one you like. When you find the perfect just add your preset by clicking the check mark in the lower right corner.
